PCity of Modesto Parks, Recreation and Neighborhoods Department is looking for volunteers :
Year Round Opportunities In addition to many special events, the Parks, Recreation and Neighborhoods Department offer the following ongoing volunteer opportunities. These projects foster community ownership of parks and facilities and often expedite the development of projects that are not provided for in the annual budget. Teaching Seniors Technology- Volunteer duties include assisting senior with their iPhone, iPad, tablets, laptops or any other technological device Operation 9-99 Tuolumne River Clean up- Monthly trail clean ups. Dry Creek Trail Coalition- Monthly trail clean-ups Adaptive Bowling- Bowling leauge designed for people with special needs. Thursdays from 4-5:30pm at Yosemite Lanes in Modesto, Ca. Tag We're On it!- Tagging/Graffiti Abatement, Free anti-tagging kits available for removing small tags in your neighborhood. Maddux Youth Center- Helping kids with homework, special events, supervising games, crafts, and activities. Annual Halloween and Christmas Programs; Mon-Thus: 12:30pm-6:30pm, Friday 12:30pm-5p & Saturday from 11am-3pm Neighborhood Environmental Action Teams (N.E.A.T) Neighborhood Clean-up, Graffiti Abatement, Adopt a park, Adopt a block.
