It was a wonderful day at the 2016 Annual Walk to End Alzheimer's in Modesto. The event took place on September 10th at Graceada Park in Modesto Ca. 26 walking teams and 646 participants raised a total of $92,005.20, surpassing their original goal of $87,000.00. The event is held annually in more than 600 communities nationwide. The Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s is the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research.
PTK members helped out this year with early morning set up, signing participants up for a group congressional letter, and passing around information and team signs. It was a great opportunity for members to help out and learn more about a great cause and the effect that Alzheimer's has on families and the community.
